These delicious chocolate Easter eggs have been the devil in this time of home isolation! I can’t seam to stop eating them by the handful!!!!
So here comes my rant about Chocolate….
I LOVE CHOCOLATE !
Yes I love chocolate! I would definitely consider myself a bit of a chocoholic and yes, chocolate is definitely my dietary weakness!
I have come to terms with my love for Chocolate. I do not deprive myself of chocolate completely, but manage my consumption. I usually do not keep chocolate around the house, because if it’s there, I will eat it!
My chocolate eating routine is as follows. I buy a small amount of chocolate at a time. A couple of pieces of chocolate or a small chocolate bar when I have a craving. I make sure it’s dark chocolate. 70% coco is ideal! I try to pick organic chocolate or high quality hand crafted chocolate. Make your indulgences count! Always pick decadent rich delicious chocolate. You should never feel that you wasted the calories.
Dark chocolate in small amounts, is actually very good for us girls. It’s high in antioxidants
It is filled with nutrients like fiber, iron, magnesium, and copper.
Dark coco improves blood flow and lowers blood pressure.
And last but not least, dark chocolate can protect skin against sun damage and increase skin density and hydration!
So there you have it, you can have your chocolate and eat it too!
But remember … chocolate is still high in sugar and calories, so practice moderation!
And make sure it’s 70% dark coco chocolate not milk chocolate or other mass produced candy bars with tons of chemical additives.
